रामपुर : समाजवादी पार्टी के दिग्गज नेता और रामपुर के सांसद आजम खान की गिरफ्तारी संभव है। आजम खान के खिलाफ जमीन कब्जा करने के दो दर्जन से अधिक मुकदमे दर्ज हैं। रामपुर में भू माफिया घोषित होने के बाद से रामपुर नहीं आने वाले आजम खां के खिलाफ वहां पर मनी लॉर्डिंग की भी जांच जारी है।
रामपुर के एसपी डॉ. अजय पाल शर्मा का कहना है कि सांसद आजम खां के खिलाफ जो धाराएं लगी हैं, वह उनकी गिरफ्तारी के लिए काफी हैं। रामपुर में मौलाना जौहर यूनिवर्सिटी के चांसलर तथा समाजवादी पार्टी के सांसद आजम खां लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 के बाद से ही मुश्किलों में हैं। उनके खिलाफ दो दर्जन से अधिक किसानों ने जमीन कब्जा करने का मुकदमा दर्ज कर रखा है।
सांसद आजम खान को रामपुर में भू-माफिया घोषित किया गया है। जौहर अली यूनिवर्सिटी के लिए किसानों की जमीन जबरन हड़पने को लेकर आजम के खिलाफ किसानों ने 26 मुकदमे दर्ज कराए हैं। किसान अब आजम खां की गिरफ्तारी की मांग तथा अपने मामले में न्याय की खातिर इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट के फैसले पर निर्भर हैं।
रामपुर में सांसद आजम खां के खिलाफ हो रही कार्रवाई के विरोध में शुक्रवार को सपाई एकजुट होकर समर्थन में उतरे। कानून व्यवस्था के खिलाफ प्रदेशव्यापी धरना प्रदर्शन कर सपाइयों ने अपनी ताकत का अहसास कराया। रामपुर आते वक्त सांसदों को पहले रोका गया, उसके बाद लोक निर्माण विभाग के गेस्ट हाउस में ले जाया गया। इन सभी ने गांधी समाधि पर धरना देकर चेतावनी दी कि पुलिस प्रशासन आजम खां और सपाइयों का उत्पीडऩ करना बंद करे वर्ना अंजाम अच्छा नहीं होगा।
