नई दिल्ली : देश के पूर्व वित्त मंत्री अरूण जेटली का निधन दिल्ली के एम्स अस्पताल में हो गया। अरूण जेटली ने अपने जीवन की अंतिम की सांस आज शुक्रवार को 12 बज कर 7 मिनट पर ली। अरुण जेटली को 9 अगस्त 2019 को दिल्ली के एम्स अस्पताल में भर्ती करया गया था। अरूण जेटली अस्पताल में लाइफ सपोर्ट सिसटम पर थे।

अरूण जेटली 2014 में मोदी सरकार में वित्त मंत्री रहे थे। अपने पद पर रहते हुए जेटली ने कई अहम बिल पेश किए थे। जब 2019 में एक बार फिर मोदी सरकार आई तो जेटली ने खुद प्रधानमंत्री को पत्र लिख कर मंत्री पद लेने से मना कर दिया था।

66 वर्षीय जेटली को एम्स में पिछले कई दिनों ने जीवन रक्षक प्रणाली पर रखा गया था। उनके स्वास्थ्य के बारे में जानने के लिए हाल के दिनों में पीएम मोदी, राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद समेत कई बड़े नेताओं ने अस्पताल का दौरा किया था।

अरुण जेटली का सितंबर 2014 में बैरिएट्रिक ऑपरेशन हो चुका था। लंबे समय से मधुमेह के कारण वजन बढ़ने की समस्या के निदान के लिए यह ऑपरेशन किया गया था। यह ऑपरेशन पहले मैक्स हॉस्पीटल में हुआ था।
