कानपुर : प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 15 नवंबर को नमामि गंगे प्रोजेक्ट के चलते हो रहे कार्यों की समीक्षा करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री कानपुर शहर आ सकते हैं। बैठक में उत्तर प्रदेश, बिहार उत्तराखंड, पश्चिम बंगाल, और झारखंड के मुख्यमंत्री भी भाग लेंगे। गंगा को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए और क्या उपाय किए जा सकते हैं इस पर चर्चा होगी। प्रधानमंत्री शहर के उद्यमियों, चिकित्सकों से बात भी करेंगे। प्रधानमंत्री के कार्यक्रम की तैयारियों को लेकर जिलाधिकारी विजय विश्वास पंत ने मंगलवार को कलेक्ट्रेट में बैठक की।
गंगा को प्रदूषण मुक्त और स्वच्छ करने के लिए नमामि गंगे अभियान के तहत नालों को बंद करने का काम किया जा रहा है। साथ ही बिठूर, जाजमऊ समेत कई जगहों पर सीवरेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांटों की स्थापना का कार्य हो रहा है। इन कार्यों की गति खास अच्छी नहीं है। अब जब यहाँ प्रधानमंत्री मोदी आ रहे हैं तो वह घाटों का निरीक्षण तो करेंगे ही गंगा बैराज स्थित अटल घाट पर मां गंगा की आरती कर सकते हैं। पीएम जाजमऊ के सीवरेज ट्रीटमेंट प्लांट व सीसामऊ नाला देखने जा सकते हैं। डीएम ने बैठक में नगर निगम, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड और जल निगम के अफसरों से कहा कि जो भी कार्य होने हैं तत्काल पूरे किए जाएं।
प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी डा. एसबी फ्रैंकलिन से उन्होंने नाराजगी जताते हुए कहा कि जब टेनरियां बंद हैं तो फिर उनका कचरा गंगा में क्यों जा रहा है। इसकी जाँच करें और जो टेनरियां चलते हुए मिलें उनके संचालकों पर कार्रवाई करें। जल निगम के अफसरों से कहा कि वे सीवर लाइन सफाई का कार्य निर्धारित समय अवधि में पूरा कर लें। जल संरक्षण को लेकर रेन वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग, वेस्ट वाटर रिसाइक्लिंग, झील और तालाबों को फिर से जीवित करने के साथ ही उनको संवारने का कार्य तेज करने का आदेश दिया।
उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ पांच नवंबर को कानपुर शहर आएंगे। वे गंगा से जुड़े कार्यों का निरीक्षण करेंगे।
