छत्तीसगढ़ के जशपुर प्रशासन ने महुए से हैंड सैनिटाइजर तैयार करवाया है। सैनिटाइजर की बढ़ती मांग और घटती सप्लाई को देखते हुए यह कदम उठाया गया है। इलाके के युवा वैज्ञानिक समर्थ जैन ने इस काम में प्रशासन की मदद की। बाजार में मिलने वाले एल्कोहल बेस के सैनिटाइजर जैसे गुण इस सैनिटाइजर में हैं। महुए में भी एल्कोहॉलिक तत्व होते हैं। समर्थ जैन के संस्थान वाटिका की मदद से कोरोना के संक्रमण के खतरे को कम करने का यह हथियार तैयार किया गया है। जिला प्रशासन अब इस तकनीक से सैनिटाइजर बनाने की ट्रेनिंग स्वसहायता समूह की महिलाओं को देगा।

जिला कलेक्टर ने कहा कि वनोपज महुआ से निर्मित सैनिटाइजर बहुत ही अच्छा है और इससे कुछ साइड इफेक्ट भी नहीं है इस सैनिटाइजर का ज्यादा से ज्यादा उत्पादन किया जाए और लोगों तक इसे पहुंचाया जाए, आने वाले दिनों में हम इस पर और काम करेंगे। डीएफओ कृष्ण जाधव ने कहा की लोगों को सुरक्षित रखना हमारा कोशिश है इसके लिए हम प्रयासरत हैं । जंगल में मिलने वाला महुआ इस तरह से भी काम आ सकेगा तो और अच्छी बात है।

वहीं युवा वैज्ञानिक समर्थ जैन ने कहा कि वनधन विकास योजना के अंतर्गत सिगनी स्व सहायता समूह के द्वारा हर्बल सैनिटाइजर बनाया गया है। अभी हम नियमानुसार परीक्षण कर यह उत्पाद तैयार कर रहे हैं। आने वाले समय में इसका व्यापक पैमाने पर उत्पादन करने की तैयारी है। हमारा प्रयास है कि हर हाथ में यह सैनिटाइजर पहुंचे और लोग कोरोना से लड़ने में इसे एक अहम हथियार के रूप में उपयोग कर सकें। यदि सरकार इसमें अपनी सहमति देती है तो वनोपज उत्पाद से बने सैनिटाइजर से तीन चार राज्यों के मांग की पूर्ति हम कर सकते हैं।
