जिला अस्पताल की एनआरसी में भर्ती 9 माह के बच्चे को एक महिला बिस्तर से चोरी कर ले गई। सूचना मिली तो अस्पताल प्रषासन में हड़कंप मच गया। आनन-फानन में पुलिस की मदद ली गई। लगभग एक घंटे के अंदर नाकाबंदी करा सघन तलाषी अभियान के दौरान पुलिस ने महिला के कब्जे से बच्चे को सकुषल बरामद कर लिया। महिला से पूछताछ जारी है। बच्चा परिजनों के हवाले कर दिया गया है।
घटना रविवार की सुबह लगभग 5 बजे की है। घिरोर थाना क्षेत्र के नगला रगीर निवासी संदीप के 7 माह के बच्चे आषिक को कुपोषण की वजह से 6 सितंबर को जिला अस्पताल के एनआरसी वार्ड में भर्ती किया गया था। रविवार की सुबह बच्चा वार्ड में अपनी दादी बिमला देवी के साथ सो रहा था तभी लगभग 5 बजे के आसपास एक अज्ञात महिला और एक पुरूष ने बच्चे को चोरी कर लिया और गायब हो गए।
जब परिजन जागे तो बच्चे को न पाकर होष उड गए। चीख-पुकार षुरू हुई। सूचना मिलते ही अस्पताल प्रषासन के हाथ-पैर फूल गए। आनन-फानन में पुलिस की मदद ली गई। जानकारी होते ही अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक ओमप्रकाष सिंह भारी पुलिस बल के साथ अस्पताल पहुंचे। जानकारी जुटा सीमाओं को सील कर हर गाडी की तलाषी के निर्देष जारी कर दिए।
काफी मषक्कत के बाद लगभग एक घंटे बाद षहर के करहल चैराहा के पास मुहल्ला अग्रवाल के नजदीक से एक महिला को बच्चे के साथ पकड लिया गया। पूछताछ हुई तो मामले का खुलासा हो गया। बच्चा बरामद कर पुलिस ने परिजनों ने षिनाख्त कराई तो बच्चे को पहचान लिया गया। पकडी गई महिला ने अपना नाम मंजू पत्नी बबलू निवासी मुहल्ला अग्रवाल बताया है। पुलिस को महिला से कई और भी लोगों के नामों की जानकारी हुई है। लिखा-पढी के बाद बच्चे को परिजनों के हवाले कर दिया गया है।

बच्चा चोर महिला से पुलिस पूछताछ कर रही है। पूछताछ में महिला ने अपने कुछ साथियों के नाम बताए हैं। इसके अलावा जिला अस्पताल और महिला अस्पताल के कर्मचारियों से भी पुराने लिंक सामने आ रहे हैं। अब पुलिस इस मामले की तह तक जाने का प्रयास कर रही है। अस्पतालों में सक्रिय दलालो पर भी पुलिस ने नजरें तिरछी की हैं। अस्पताल के स्टाफ से भी पूछताछ की जा रही है। जिस वक्त हादसा हुआ उस वक्त एनआरसी का स्टाफ अस्पताल में ही मौजूद था।
