मैनपुरी: बदमाशों के दुस्साहस से शहर के लोग दहशत में हैं। बदमाशों नें एक सिपाही को गोली मारी और फरार हो गए। बदमाशों के आसानी से फरार हो जाने से मैनपुरी पुलिस की किरकरी हो रही है। बदमाशों का पता लगाने के लिए पुलिस ने घटनास्थल के आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी का सहारा लिया है। सीसीटीवी में बदमाश भागते तो दिखाई दे रहे हैं, लेकिन रात होने के कारण उनके चेहरे स्पष्ट नहीं हैं। जिससे बदमाशों की पहचान में पुलिस को काफी परेशानी हो रही है। शक के आधार पर पुलिस ने एक दर्जन युवकों को हिरासत में लेकर पूछताछ कर रही है।
लोगों के मुताविक घटना शहर के बीचोंबीच हुई। बदमाशों का पीछा कर रहे पुलिस कर्मियों ने अन्य साथियों को घटना की जानकारी दी थी। जिसके बाद भी बदमाशों की कड़ी घेराबंदी नहीं की गई। अगर शहर की नाकाबंदी कर दी जाती तो बदमाश भागने में सफल नहीं हो पाते। आइजी ए सतीश गणेश ने भी पुलिस की लापरवाही पर नाराजगी जताई है। उन्होंने इंस्पेक्टर कोतवाली को कड़ी फटकार भी लगाई है।
घटना के समय बाइक पर पीछे बैठे सिपाही कुलदीप का कहना है कि अजीत चौधरी बदमाशों के काफी करीब पहुंच गए थे। अगर बदमाश गोली न चलाता तो उसे पकड़ लेते। गोली लगने के बाद भी अजीत चौधरी बहादुरी से बाइक दौडाते रहे लेकिन उल्टी होने पर बाइक अनियंत्रित हो गई, जिसके चलते उसे बाइक को रोकना पड़ा। घटना के बाद एएसपी ओमप्रकाश जिला अस्पताल पहुंचे। घायल सिपाही को रेफर कराया और सैफई में इलाज का इंतजाम भी कराए। डीएम पीके उपाध्याय व एसपी अजय शंकर राय रात में ही सैफई पहुंचे और अपनी देखरेख में सिपाही का इलाज कराया। चिकित्सकों ने सिपाही के खतरे से बाहर होने की जानकारी दी तो अधिकारियों ने राहत की सांस ली।
